the usage of 'would like sth~'

Are the two sentences grammatical? I think these sentences must be changed into like “I would like a former girlfriend to be notified” and “in which newspaper I would like it to be printed.” Is my correction grammatically right?
Anyway, I want to know whether or not the two sentences above are grammatically correct.

I prefer your second version of the first sentence, though you might want to stipulate which former girlfriend you want to receive the news.

The second phrase is not a sentence. You may like to complete it.

(1) Congratulations! I think that you are 100% correct: For "perfect" English, you should, indeed, write "to be" in those passive sentences.

(2) But in real life, many native speakers delete (erase) the "to be." It makes the sentence tighter and more forceful.
