Default What do you call it when someone moves his/her head to the rythm of a song?

    Hello,

What word do you use when someone moves his head to the rythm of some song. You know, like rappers do.

    Best, Julius

    Keeping the beat; dancing.

I mean more like... "wagging" your head, but then vertically. Is there a word for that? It's like headbanging but then in a slower and way more controlled way.

To heavy metal music, it's called "headbanging."

I would just say that they were "nodding to the beat", or perhaps, "bobbing their head in time with the music".

    "bobbing"

That's what I was looking for.

    Thanks
