Do not pick the flowers/flowers Signs in the park
1.Do not pick the flowers.
2.Do not pick flowers
3.Do not climb the tress
4. Do not climb tress
Is it correct to leave out 'the' in the above signs?

Teacher Re: Do not pick the flowers/flowers We use 'the'. We are referring to the trees and flowers in the park, not to trees and flowers in general.
