    Happy New Year, mates!

By the way it would be interesting to know how many days off you get for New Year?

In Belarus we have only an extra day off that is the 2nd of January.
Though there was a discussion in the government to make a week off but they made a decision not to do it because of tough economic situation in the country.
I don't think this is the right decision but anyway can't help it.

P.S. I would be grateful if you corrected any mistakes I have made. Especially the text I have made bold.

    Thanks, Alex.

Here in the Philippines, the 30th was a separate holiday, then the 31st and 1st were holidays.

PS I would say tough economic situation.

    NOT A TEACHER

Here in the United States, today, January 1st, is Sunday. So, of course,

Monday will be a holiday. Then everyone is supposed to return to work on

Tuesday. (I have a doctor's appointment. Hope he shows up!)
