Default What does the quotation mean?

First of all, he wanted to imbed in his upcoming high potentials the user application of really advanced investment theory.
    Does the quotation above mean:

first of all, as a user of the really advanced investment theory, he wanted to use the theory and deeply imbed the theory into his subconscious (potentials)?

Well, I am not sure whether I've been on the right track.

It makes no sense to me. It's "embed" not "imbed".

Yes, it should be "embed." What does the sentence mean then?
