Unless you are going to identify the author, just "Created on 09.01.12..." is better.
"Created by AlexAD on ..." would be fine.

That would be OK too.

Just be aware that some people will think you mean September 1 and others will think you mean January 9. While Sept 1, 2012, is in the future NOW, so therefore not yet possible for a creation date of an exising file, by Sept 2 there could be confusion.

That's really confusing for me, I just can't get my head around writing dates in that order.

I guess because we say Sept 1, 2010, we write 09/01/10, so 09.01.12 would mean September 1 for me.

When I see 120901 I assume it's year/month/date so that when you list them in order, you have sequential dates.
