Question 'to stand a chance of...'

    Hi,
Would it be correct to say, 'it'll stand you a good chance of...'? Thanks in advance!

    No.

'Your previous experience will give you a good chance of promotion.'

Or: 'Your previous experience will stand you in good stead for promotion.'
