drop litter on the street / streets
Hello,
I'm quite unsure which form I should use, street or streets, in the following sentence:
'I don't agree with people who drop litter on the street.
OR
'I don't agree with people who drop litter on the streets.
I'm looking forward to your reply, thank you very much.

Re: drop litter on the street / streets
I'd use the singular word and, being British, I'd use 'in', not 'on'.
Context is important. Please provide enough for us to be able to deal effectively with your question.
Your thread title should include all or part of the word/phrase being discussed.

As 5jj responded, I would go with "street", but in AmE you would hear/read both "in" and "on".
