Question about the preposition 'into' at the end of a question

According to this stament, 'The Chief called him into his office.'
Is it correct the following question? 'Where did the Chief call him into?
My question is about the preposition 'into', should I use it at the end of the question or not?

That sounds a bit wrong, but it's correct.
But in a sentence where "into" is more specific, it might work better:
"The boy put the apple into his lunchbox. What did the boy put his apple into?"
The difference here is that in your example, you have "Into where did the Chief call him?", which is not as defensible as "Into what did the boy put his apple?"

After your example is very clear that I had better not to use 'into' at the end of the question.

Well, as I said, you could. If you gave me that sentence, and I wanted to make a question out of it, I would instinctively say, "Where did the Chief call him..." And then I'd notice a deficiency in my question, and I'd add "into". So, I'm saying it's not wrong, but to me it just sounds awkward.
