Oi you! What do you think you are doing?

Hello.

I get this from the OALD as an example sentence.
Oi is British. I have heard that much in British movies. Have never heard in American ones.
Just out of interest, is what do you think you are doing also more British?

I, personally, would imagine American saying 'what's going on' or "what's happening" but never that way.
I underlined 'that' because I am not sure if it points to 'what do you think you are doing'. Does it?

We say "What do you think you're doing?" in the US too. If the guy's doing something particularly egregious, a "f**k" or "hell" might get thrown in there for emphasis as well.

As for your "that", I understood what it was referring to as I read it, but I could see how someone could get confused.
