Take some believing
What does the phrase take some believing mean? To me, it means 'It is hard to believe'.
Context: I came across this sentence in the Guardian. The sentence sentence goes like: At one point he(Monty Panesar, England's cricket player) said, "Our batters are in a good place". Which takes some believing.

It means that, for some reason, it's surprising that the batsmen are in a good place.
