Hello.
Let's say you have an idea to start your own business. But it is raw, I mean incomplete.
Would that be correct to say, 'I want my idea to mature' or 'I want my idea to grow up'?
What else would you say?
Thanks, Alex.

In certain contexts ideas can certainly "mature" or "grow", but not normally "grow up"… although they can "grow out of": "This idea for a business grew out of a discussion I had with my father". They can also "evolve", "develop" and "progress".

Thanks a million, JMurray for your nice and precise reply.
I am especially glad that now I can say that in more than two ways!
