The kids who know the difference are also the most prone to lie
How is the kids lying related to the question of "Did Suzy tell a lie...?" It might be a simple relationship but it's kind of vague to me.
ex)Parents often fail to address early childhood lying, since they lying is almost innocent- their child is too young to know what lies are, or that lying is wrong. When their child gets older and learns those distinctions, the parents believe, they lying will stop. This is dead wrong, according to Dr.Victoria Talwar. The better a young child can distinguish a lie from the truth, the more likely he or she is to lie given the chance. Researchers test children with elegant anecdotes, and ask, "Did Suzy tell a lie or tell the truth?" The kids who know the difference are also the most prone to lie....

....
From the context, you can assume that the "anecdotes" refers to a person called Suzy. Then the kids were being asked if Suzy lied or not in those stories.

Thanks, but do the kids respond like "It is Suzy who lied" or do they lie about other things imitating her?

The children who show by their response to the question, that they understand the difference between telling the truth and telling a lie, are also the ones who are shown (presumably by a different test) to be more likely to tell lies.

They practice lying , so they know a lie better than the kids that practice it less often.
