Question about directions for a listening comprehension exercise
Hi teachers,
This is for a listening comprehension exercise.
The students are going to hear this, 'Ten minutes later he was back in his office, and Adam came into his room.'
They have the following directions written on their pages, 'Tell me about when he was back in his office and who came into his room.'
My question: Is it correct to say 'tell me' if they are only going to write instead of saying something?
Thanks in advance

Re: Question about directions for a listening comprehension exercise
Try "describe" or "write about."

Hi,
Then should 'about' be in these directions or not?
Write about what Felix wants next.
Write about what happened in the office.
Thanks

Re: Question about directions for a listening comprehension exercise
Aren't you asking them to tell you just the time when he got back- there doesn't seem to be anything else to say, so I can't see the need for about. I would use direct questions- they are simpler and clearer IMO.

Hi Tdol,
Thank you for you advice. It's seems very right to me.
If this is what the students will hear, ‘He moved quickly and stayed away from towns and villages’.
Will this be the correct information to be asked?
Write how he moved and where he stayed away. (simpler and clearer)
