Do we have to use apostrophe+s with weeks, days, months etc when used in sentences like?
He will return home in a weeks(week's?) time.
Court's decision is expected in a months(month's?) time.
If anyone could please enlighten me.

The apostrophe (of possession) is used here, because the time period discussed belongs, to a week, a month etc.

"The court's decision is expected in the time of a month", if it helps you to think like that. (NB: you shouldn't actually say that, it's just something to help you).

Yes you need to write "He will return home in a week's time." It's an apostrophe S which we just write the apostrophe because the word is in the plural form and already has one s so you just put the apostrophe after the S.
He will return home in a weeks' time = He will return home one week later.
She 's going to the US in a months' time = She 's going to the US one month later.

That is not correct, moonlike. You need to write

'He will return home in a week's time.'

'She's going to the US in a month's time.'

Note also that there should be no space between she and 's.
