    Question 'nangreave' as a word?!

    Hi there,
I was just watching an interview from Roger Waters in which he's talking about how an evolution has taken place in one of his albums...in part of his speech he says:

...in the intervening years since 1979 I've realised that this can be seen as a (/nʌnəgri:v/ or /nɒngri:v/) for the way that nations and religions and contrasting political ideologies still live with each other...

Would anyone please tell me what that word could possibly be?

    Many thanks!

Are you sure it wasn't "an angreave"?
Of course, I have no idea what that might mean either. But it might suggest something else to someone.

The words seem to be an allegory (in BrE pronunciation.)

It's clearly "an allegory". Thanks for the glimpse of BBC Persian, Merhgan, it was a first for me.
