components and critical to
" Traditional tests fail to measure creativity and practical knowledge, components also critical to problem solving and life success."
1.What part of speech is "also"?
2.What 's the relationship between components and critical?
3.Can we use "of " instead of "to" after critical?
Thanks !

No, but you could use "for", which might help you better understand the meaning.

I most respectfully suggest that it is an adverb:
"Traditional tests fail to measure creativity and practical knowledge, components [which are ] also critical to problem solving and
life success." Perhaps we can say that "also" modifies "are": which are also/ which also are.
HAVE A NICE DAY!
