"when I (walk) past the park, I saw some children (play) football". Please complete that sentense with the suitable forms of verbs.

yeah, i would write. "when i walked past the park, i saw some children playing football". I wonder if we could use "was walking"/"play"?

so we could use either "was walking" and "walked" but, in this sentence, we just can use "playing".
