Which of the following is an example of clipping?
A.APEC
B.Motel
C.Disco
D.Xerox
What does the clipping mean here?

What does the clipping mean here?
The only example of clipping here is "disco", being a shortened form of "discotheque".
This is called "back clipping", whereby the beginning of the word is retained and the end of the word is cut, or clipped off.
APEC = an acronym for Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation.
Motel = a blend of "motor" and "hotel", dating from the mid-1920s.
Xerox = an invented brand name derived from the term "xerography".

This "blending" is called a portmanteau.
