Are these sentences natural? May 2
Hi,
Are the following sentences natural to a native ear?
1. We got saved. (I was talking with a friend. We did not go to a dinner for some reason. The people who made to the dinner had food poisoning)
2. This almost feels like a conspiracy against us.
3. That week is going to be so busy, that these reminders are going to be more of an annoyance.
Thanks,
MG

I wouldn't say you "got saved" (that has a religious connotation for some people). You were spared.

Given the context, I would use "We had a lucky escape".

FYI, "We got lucky" is a common AmE expression used in a variety of situations.

I wouldn't put a comma there.

Thanks folks.
Also, can I use 'we lucked out' in the #1 situation?

In addition to the other posters' good suggestions (especially avoiding "got saved" if you don't want to sound religious),
"we lucked out" is a great alternative, extremely common in AmE.
