What is the plural for mouse?

What is the plural for mouse , as in the computer mouse.
Is it also mice ?

We can say "mouses" refering to the computer controlling device. Although "mice" is not incorrect.

Hi,

as an english speaker, this one intrigues me! I have to say I've never heard anyone say "computer mouses" OR "computer mice", and can't think of a time when I've heard anyone refer to them in the plural. If I went into a computer shop, I'd be inclined to say "I'm looking for a new mouse" rather than "do you have any computer mice (or mouses)?"

Instinctively, I'd say "mice" is more correct.

Sorry if I made a mistake in the question. What I meant was the mouse used with the computers and not as a word 'computer mouse'
So, the plural is mice then ? For example, the sentence .....
1. We have several mouses on display here....
or
2. We have several types of mice on display...

Which is correct ?

Hi,

I'd be inclined towards "mice", but I don't think "mouses" in this context would be unnacceptable.

Google:
"computer mouses"- 41,600
"computer mice"- 472,000
It would appear that both are in use, though the irregular form is well ahead.
