Default Six times more people than that have stood on the Moon.

    Hi
I can't digest the meaning of the underlined part well, could you please help me with it?

Apart from breaking the time set by Francis Joyon last year, MacArthur is only the second person ever to sail solo non-stop around the world on a multi-hull boat. six times more people than that have stood on the Moon.

Does it mean that "just two people have been able to sail solo. However, about 12 people (6*2=12) have walked on the Moon? (Have 12 people ever stood on the Moon so far?)

    Thanks a million.
Being a non-native teacher, I'm so thrilled being in such a superb forum.
