    Default Have you been well (?)

    Can we say "Have you been well ?" instead of "How are you?"

    If so, What do we reply to it?

    Not the usual way to inquire about one's health or well being and, in fact, it has a slight inference that I hadn't been well or that someone might have told the person that I had not been well. A more common inquiry/greeting would be, "How have you been?".
