    I'm not sure whether this is a Germanism or if you could say this: The population is willed (prepared) to invest in this project.

    I'm not sure whether this is a Germanism or if you could say this: The population is willed (prepared) to invest in this project.

    For this sense, the English is "willing".
    "The population is willing to invest in this project".
    "If I get caught I'm willing to accept my punishment".
