My question is this.
Does the expression "to screw up one's eyes/face" mean "to frown" and "to scowl"?
If it does, can I use "frown" and "scowl" in the same context? Do they mean the same?
Which of these three is used most in spoken English?

I don't think we screw up our face or eyes when we frown or scowl. If I screw up my whole face, I actually can't think of one particular one-word verb I would use for the result/action.

This is a frown.
This is a scowl.
This is an example of screwed up eyes.
