No. It must've been a typo.
As listed in a dictionary, "truly" is a correct spelling form.
But I came across "truely " in a BBC TV program.
Is "truely" correct in terms of spelling.

No. It must've been a typo.
I'm not a teacher yet, but I am studying a Bachelor of Education with an English Literature major at Charles Sturt University, in NSW, Australia.
Was it in the subtitles? There are quite a few typos in subtitles either because they're simply not proofread properly or because they're being done live, as the speaker speaks, and it's almost impossible to get 100% accuracy.
Remember - correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing make posts much easier to read.
