"Up to" should be two words.
I will pay up to $100 for a hotel room.
I want a hotel room for under $100.
2)I want a hotel room upto 100 dollars.
My friend wrote this sentence. I think the natural one would be "I want a hotel room upto the range of 100 dollars." Am I correct?
"Up to" should be two words.
I will pay up to $100 for a hotel room.
I want a hotel room for under $100.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
Alternatively, you could use:
I want a hotel room which costs up to 100 dollars.
$100 is not a range. It is an exact figure, so we wouldn't say "up to the range of $100". You might want to book a hotel which has prices ranging from $50 to $100.
Remember - correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing make posts much easier to read.
