    Default Can an elevator descend?

    An elevator is descending from above. Does it sound ok? Or it would be better to say "is lowered" or something?

    Yes, it sounds OK. No it wouldn't be better to say that.

    , Delete 'from above'. It's hardly going to descend from below. Otherwise it's fine; 'is lowered' isnot.
