I forbade her to go// I forbade her from going.
1. I forbade her to go.
2. I forbade her from going.
Sentence 1 is grammatical - as I know, and one of the web dictionaries says sentence 2 is also grammatical. Is it true? Is 2 grammatical and natural?

forbid :: Yes, 2 is grammatical and natural. Are you sure 1 is right?
