In the past I used to play a videogame called "Counter-Strike". Does this name "Counter-Strike" mean anything?

A counter-strike is when you attack someone after they have attacked you – a retaliatory strike. The game involves SWAT units fighting against terrorists; the terrorists make a strike and the SWAT forces are making a counter-strike against them.
