As soon as + simple present tense or future tense?

Dear English teacher:
Which one is correct?
A. we will get there as soon as you will
B. we will get there as soon as you do.
I had always thought that: “Simple present tense” is used after [if, as soon as, as, when, after, before, once] to express future meaning. But then“practical English usage” by Michael Swan, says both are correct.

There is another sentence I came across regarding this topic:
When he will arrive is nobody’s guess. Shouldn’t it be “when he arrives is nobody’s guess?

No.

'When he will arrive' is not a time clause.

"When will he arrive?" - We don't know when he will arrive. When he will arrive is anybody's guess.
"Where will he live?" - We don't know where he will live. Where he will live is anybody's guess.
"What will he do?" - We don't know what he will do. What he will do is anybody's guess.


Note that the expression is anybody's guess, not nobody's guess.

'When he will arrive' is not a time clause.

"When will he arrive?" - We don't know when he will arrive. When he will arrive is anybody's guess.
"Where will he live?" - We don't know where he will live. Where he will live is anybody's guess.
"What will he do?" - We don't know what he will do. What he will do is anybody's guess.


Note that the expression is anybody's guess, not nobody's guess.
