    Default Is this sentence correct?

    Is this sentence correct?
"The astronauts took six spacewalks to fix the optics of the telescope"
I think spacewalks should be changed into spacewalkers. right
Moreover, if we change spacewalks into spacewalkers, will the sentence become correct both in meaning and grammar?
This sentence is really strange for me. I can't understand it at all. Please help

No. They went outside the spacecraft six times. They didn't take six people with them.

Unhappy Is this sentence correct or not?

    Hi, is this sentence correct?
"The astronauts took six spacewalks to fix the optics of the telescope"
I think spacewalks should be changed into spacewalkers. right

Furthermore, I think that if the writer wanted to convey the following meaning "They went outside the spacecraft six times. They didn't take six people with them" he should write this way "it took six space walks for the astronauts to fix the optics" am i right?

    Default why this sentence incorrect?

    Hi, why this sentence incorrect?
"The astronauts took six spacewalkers to fix the optics of the telescope", may be the writer mean astronauts took six persons (spacewalkers) with themselves...

Spacewalk | Define Spacewalk at Dictionary.com

Have you looked in the dictionary? I'm not sure why "spacewalk" is giving you so much trouble.

It means that on 6 different occasions astronauts went outside of their vehicle, into space, in order to fix the telescope.
