I like it most or the most?
I was sure that both versions are correct:
1. I like it most
or full version:
I like it most of all
2. I like it the most
But a teacher has corrected 'I like it the most' crossing out 'the'. Was he right?

So I can use it in an informal letter to a friend.
'The last point of the evening was the presentation about food which people liked the most"
Is there any possible explanation for marking 'the' as a mistake?

Your sentence is fine with "the most".
