Is the preposition "by" rightly used?
"He is admirable for the inspiration he gave to all Chinese people by being the first Chinese man to win an Olympic gold medal in the event."
Is the preposition "by" rightly use? What I want to say is that the man is the first Chinese man winning an Olympic gold medal in the event and he inspired all Chinese, so he is admirable.
Thanks so much
