I just checked the dictionary and apparently "peaceless" is a word. Then again, my browser thinks it isn't.

I've never heard it used and would recommend that you do not use it.

    ***** NOT A TEACHER *****

    Good morning, Authesun:

Thank you for teaching me a new word. I am 75 years old, and I had never heard that word until today.

    1. I went to Google and typed "peaceless."

    a. I then clicked on "books."

    i. There were many, many examples of that adjective. Here are a few:

    (a) "It pollutes the human environment and leads to a peaceless and struggle-torn life."

(A Comprehensive Study of Life, S. Samuel Raul)

    (b) "To a peaceless person, how is happiness possible?"

(Awake to Superconsciousness, Donald J. Walters)

    (c) "I am peaceless in my life, which results in my ill health."

(Balancing Heaven and Earth, Robert A. Johnson)

    2. I agree with SoothingDave's advice. If I were you, I should not use this adjective -- at least, not here in the

United States. If you did, probably many people would reply, "Hey, dude! There is no such word!"

I had never heard it used either. It's certainly not very common in day-to-day conversation. I don't think it's a very fair test question given that the first three native speakers to reply here did not know "peaceless" was a word.
