Do you understand "I feel good" and "I feel bad"?
Dear, teacher,
can you explaine a meaning of this sentence.
"I do feel bad about treating you like dirt, believe me, and it is well deserved too."
Thanks.

yes, but I do not understand "about treating you like dirt...and it is well deserved too"![]()

Well,
I treat you like dirt:
For example: I insult you, I hurt you by acting against you etc.
It is well deserved:
It is well deserved that I feel bad for that.
I think that word too is really important here.
1. I feel bad, 2. It is well deserved that I feel bad.
I hope I could help you a bit.
Cheers!
The title of your thread was "why feel bad". On that basis, I assumed that the part of the sentence you were querying was "I do feel bad".
If your title had been "Why treating you like dirt?" it would have been clearer what you wanted to know.

Thank you very much.
