I got some good news and bad news.
Is it natural to leave out the "some"?
Thanks.
I'm not a teacher, but I would say "I got bad and good news" :)
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
You can leave out "some" in my opinion but I would use "have" not "got".
I have good news and bad news.

That is a very good point! If that's the case, then "some" is entirely optional, but I would suggest either use it twice or not at all.
I went to see my doctor today, to get my test results. I got some good news and some bad news.
