Hello, everyone. I am Mandy and I am a postgraduate. Now I am working on my thesis paper which is about China English. My research involves a survey study and the subjects would be native English speakers, since I want to know whether certain China English expressions will be accpeted by native English speakers or not. However, I do not have enough subjects, despite that I have invited all the foreign teachers and friends I know. I wonder whether someone could help me and leave an email address so that I can send the questionnaire. I would really appreciate your generous help. Thanks a lot!

Welcome to the forum, mandy.![]()
Unfortunately you cannot use the PM facility in this forum until you have submitted a certain number of posts.
Also, I strongly recommend that people do not publish their email adresses here - there is a risk of attracting spam. Can you post your survey here? Some members might be prepared to fill it in for you.
Context is important. Please provide enough for us to be able to deal effectively with your question.
Your thread title should include all or part of the word/phrase being discussed.
If you just want to know the meaning of a word, try OneLook Dictionary Search first.
I think you can do a questionnaire on SurveyMonkey.com but only make it available to certain people by sending them the link.
Remember - correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing make posts much easier to read.
Great idea - SurveyMonkey is free for up to 100 responses.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
What is 'China English'? Isn't the correct term 'Chinese English'?![]()

[QUOTE=amigos4;953046]What is 'China English'? Isn't the correct term 'Chinese English'?![]()
I would have thought so, in parallel with 'Indian English.' But looking at the link provided by amigos4 it is apparent that the phrase 'China English' has additional connotations with a strong political whiff to them. E.g. "Who will determine the direction of the future development of English, native speakers or the Chinese learners?" The idea of China English is all new to me, and I would like to learn more about it.
Hi Billmcd:
I have agreed to participate in Mandy's survey. I just clicked on her userID at the head of this thread, and one of the options that came up was "send email". I used that to send her my qualifications and email address.
