    Default is/are vs. was/were

    Hi everybody,

    could you tell me what is the difference between this two sentences:

    She was engaged to her boyfriend.

    She is engaged to her boyfriend.

    I've just started learning English and i'm really confused when to use is/are and was/were

    Do you understand the difference between the present and the past?
