    Default Under and beneath

Under and beneath and underneath are interchangeable? I have learned that if the surfaces are attached to each other, beneath should be used but I do not think this is always true. So what do you think and how do you use them? Thank you so much as usual in advance.

It's difficult to generalise on this. Try writing some sentences in which you think they are, or are not, interchangeable. We can then comment on them.
