As always, context is important- in casual speech, we would be less likely to use a number as exact as 80%, but in a factory preparing noodles, such precision would be a good thing.

What I was trying to say full/half round is that the container is half full or full with noodles. The shape of the container is round.

Sorry for the causing the confusion. Is there a better way to phrase the sentence? Thank you.
