Dubt in using It+Adjective
I have doubt in using adjective with "It" . Please see the following sentences .
"Do whatever you want. But it needs to be the best this time ."
"It had to be colorful. That's why we have used all the strong colors. "
Are these sentences correct ?
This is my understanding -
Here 'it' doesn't refer to any noun .So without referring any noun we can use 'It' with the adjectives (eg- best,colorful).
Question 1. Am I right? Please correct me if I am wrong .
Question 2. Is it ok to use sentence like the second one while speaking .
