clarifying confusions/ concerns - a question about collocation
I was just wondering if we can say clarifying confusions/concerns.
If not, what academic verbs go together with confusions and concerns with the meaning of 'clarifying / solving / removing them'? THANKS a lot
Re: clarifying confusions/ concerns - a question about collocation
As a NES, but not an English teacher:
I would have no problems with clarifying confusions or concerns, other than the fact that they have different meanings. Confusion suggests uncertainty, whereas concerns suggests problems.
I would personally use "mitigate" with concerns.
Hope this helps
