| Here are the lyrics to the HARRY Belafonte song "man smart women smarter" I say let us put man and a woman together To find out which one is smarter Some say man but I say no The woman got the man de day should know And not me but the people they say That de man are leading de women astray But I say, that the women of today Smarter than the man in every way That’s right de woman is uh smarter That’s right de woman is uh smarter That’s right de woman is uh smarter, that’s right, that’s right Ever since the world began Woman was always teaching man And I you listen to my bid attentively I goin’ tell you how she smarter than me Samson was the strongest man long ago No one could a beat him, as we all know Until he clash with Deliah on top of the bed She told them all the strength was in the hair of his head You meet a girl at a pretty dance Thinking that you would stand a chance Take her home, thinking she’s alone Open de door you find her husband home I was treating a girl independently She was making baby for me When de baby born and I went to see Eyes was blue it was not by me Garden of Eden was very nice Adam never work in Paradise Eve meet snake, Paradise gone She make Adam work from that day on Methusaleh spent all his life in tears Lived without a woman for 900 years One day he decided to have some fun The poor man never lived to see 900 and one |

| First of all, I gree that it seems very musical, but he repeats himself many times . Secondly, his argument is almost nonesensical because he did not mention a compelling evidence that women are smarter than men. (He is talking about his emotions.) Thirdly, can you pinpoint any compelling evidence in the poem that clearly states that women are smarter ? I will come later to chop his argument . |

| I think he means that women are tricky. You might also say devious or cunning. What he is saying is the the women he has known have outwitted him. Certainly cunning is a word for intelligence, albeit an unflattering one. It is hardly in dispute that women generally possess better verbal skills than men do. I would say that men are smarter than women. They are also stupider than women. 8) |

He claims that woman was always teaching man not only men. However, he has no evidence. He is talking about the past now although there was no female prophets or apostles long ago. His line: “Woman was always teaching man” is only a generalization, which is based on nothing. Quote:

I think he does not know that a woman cannot bear a child without a male or his woman may have deceived him coz as he declares, “it was not by me” He may be correct in the fact that the woman makes the child (teaches it). Quote:

The song should be entitled: Men beware of women! They aren't as innocent as you think. :D |
