Hello,
Iīve got a problem with the word "information".
I know that itīs only used in singular. To refer to the plural I have to say: pieces of information. Now my question: In case I want to express the plural do I have to use the plural verb form or the singular verb form?
For example: "We sometimes get information which are really unnecessary." Right or wrong? What about that sentence: These information are a blessing or a curse. Right or wrong?
Iīm getting confused. Is it the same as with "news" ? This news is good (referring to the plural)
Please, help me!!!
Thanx a lot,
Sandra.
"We sometimes get information which are really unnecessary." Right or wrong? Should be: We sometimes get information which is really unnecessary.
These information are a blessing or a curse.
Should read: This information is a blessing or a curse.
"News" is the same, always used as a singular word.![]()
