Default Analysing other thesis

Once again, I appreciate all your help. This is my paragraph:

To analyze several thesis is a core activity within a successful thesis writing process. It’s important because it allows us to familiarize with the shape, contents and methods used for other people in similar works. This analysis must be deep and delicate otherwise the time invested would be lost-time. At the end of the analysis we should have read the analyzed thesis at least three times. After the first reading we should have understood the subject, taken notes of our firsts impressions, and extracted all the data that seems to be important. The second reading should help us to obtain all the relevant information surrounding the main hypothesis, the research methods and main bibliography. In the third reading, all the details should be captured.

Thank you very much!!

several thesis - plural?
It’s- I wouldn't use a contraction here
to familiarize - become familiar/familiarize ourselves
would be lost-time- repetition of 'time'- couldn't you just use 'wasted'?
our firsts impressions- first

The preposition is OK, but it's transitive, so it needs the reflexive pronoun.
