Cool Please explain these two sentences. I don't understand their mean.

Hello
Please explain these two sentences. I don't understand their mean. (In second sentence just red font sentence)
1-Nor did the legal work cease with the vessel's release.
Even though its ships are foreign-flagged, ISEC is headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut.
---------------------------------------
2- As lawyers, our first jobs was to determine if there was any prohibition on a US-based company paying a ransom to pirates, to marshal all of the company's insurance policies, give them a careful review and crate a matrix as to which specific policies would cover which aspects of the taking of the ship.

1. Also, the juridical problems did not stop when the ship was let go.

2. ...to assemble the company's many insurance policies, to read them carefully and create a list of which policies would pay for which parts of the damage and losses.

1-Nor did the legal work cease with the vessel's release.
The legal work did not end when the vessel was released.

Even though its ships are foreign-flagged, ISEC is headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut.
The ships that belong to ISEC carry foreign flags (are registered in foreign countries), but even so, the headquarters of ISEC is located in Stamford, Connecticut.

---------------------------------------
The word "crate" is a typo for "create"

2- As lawyers, our first jobs was to determine if there was any prohibition on a US-based company paying a ransom to pirates,

to marshal all of the company's insurance policies,
to gather up all the company's insurance policies,

give them a careful review
review the insurance policies carefully

and create a matrix as to which specific policies would cover which aspects of the taking of the ship.
and create a framework to decide which particular policies would cover which of the various facets of the taking of the ship.
(some policies would cover some losses and other policies would cover other types of loss, so they must set up a framework they can use to figure this out.)
