Dear Journal,
The three of them had returned and called an assembly. Jack reports the presence of pigs and he was very thrilled him and his hunters shall kill one next time for food. He violently drove his knife into the side of a tree and stared at me. From that moment on I knew Jack had something against me, it’s no longer safe for me here. The only one who can protect me is Ralph, but he seems to side with Jack.
Ralph on the other hand talked about making a fire at the top of the mountain, sailors would see our smoke. Before anything could be planned out, the whole group of them scattered. It took what seemed like a decade to get to the top; my asmar has been really acting up lately. When I finally got up there, Jack took my spectacles right off of me. He has some nerve! Ralph handed the spectacles back to me. They just don’t understand if I lost them I’m done, I wouldn’t be able to find my way anywhere! Serves them right anyways, the signal fire spread to a larger section of the island. To make matters worse the boy with the birthmark had been missing. I wonder where he is now; no one had decided to try to go look for him. They’ve really done it now! The little boy could be out there lost and cost, NO worst he could be dead!
Enough about those thoughts, I’ve been thinking what we really need to make is a sundial. I remember I read in a magazine once that it really wasn’t hard to make. With the dial we could tell exactly what time it is and become more organized. I tried to sketch out the dial, I’m sure it’ll work I’ve done it that time back home! I suggested it to Ralph and he seemed to like the idea, I will have to talk to him about it next time we’re alone.
