Default argumentative essay

Please check my essay. Thanks for your consideration!

Topic: Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? It is more important for students to study history and literature than it is for them to study science and mathematics.

It is universal thought that the students who study science and mathematics can have wide ranges of opportunities and can be successful in future. The richest men in the world are those being good at those subjects. So I advocate the viewpoint that students should study math and science rather than history and literature.

To start with, math and science allow school kids to improve their reasoning power. When learning history and literature, students have to get lessons by heart and then write all down. As soon as the term is over, those lessons are forgot. On the other hand, science and mathematics, are challenging subjects with the need of understanding. They require deep thinking power to solve math and science problems. Under this circumstance, students will be more and more reasonable in any situations presented to them. According to the National Research Center, 86% of students who are good at mathematics and science have more reasoning power than those who are not. This shows that teenagers should concentrate more on math and science to develop this skill.

Another benefit for students to learn science and mathematics is that it opens more doors for the future career. In fact, it is the aim of lots of students today to study to get good jobs with high salary. And a science or math college degree will provide them with wide choices for jobs such as medicine, computer science, engineering, and other professions. The vast majority of students don't understand why they should study history or literature without those purposes for their future.

It is said that literature and history feed our spirits and our imaginations. However, we can live without emotion and imaginations but we once die without the support of basic needs. Therefore, it is more important for students to learn math and science than literature and history-they need to feed their mouths before their spirits and feelings.

The richest men in the world are mostly businessmen.

Are you sure about this?

Can you post the reference to this? It sounds like a strange way to word such a claim.

No, it might show that teenagers who already possess this skill do better in maths and sciences, and that studying these subjects does not further develop that skill at all.

(Correlation does not imply causation).

It's a consistently argued essay. That should count for something.
You've made a lot of unsupported claims which are probably untrue.

_Some claims are probably untrue. But my literature teacher says that if we can't find any examples (statical numbers), we can carefully make them up because the marker in Vietnam might not probably know whether it true or not. They only want to see our ability to use English.
