I'm always a wreck when it comes down to writing numerals.

How would you write 178,515,200,000
Do I need to put commas?
My variant is One hundred and seventy eight billions, five hundred and fifteen millions, two-hundred thousands
But I’m not sure.

I'm always a wreck when it comes down to writing numerals.

Don't worry! Writing great numbers is a nemesis to so many people.


· 178,000,000,000 = One hundred and seventy eight billion

· 515,000,000 = five hundred fifteen million


· 200,000= two hundred thousand


The commas are not necessary.

A number doesn’t need to be in plural form. For example, 12 is twelve, and in the same way, 100,020,022 will be One hundred million twenty thousand twenty-two.

You can put an “and” before the last number:

One hundred million twenty thousand (and) twenty-two.
